Overview

As a Manufacturing Coordinator at Kentwood Office Furniture, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations by processing orders for our manufacturing plants and warehouse teams, ordering raw materials for respective projects, managing the shuttle process for delivery to our regional sales offices, and assisting the Product Marketing Manager with other duties as assigned. This position will work very closely with our Supply Chain Analyst to review manufacturing procurement needs as well.

Responsibilities

  • Process manufacturing orders, purchase orders, truck manifests, and delivery tickets for internal plants and vendors.
  • Manage shuttle assignments and transportation to KOF offices, installer warehouses, and customer locations.
  • Handle orders and POs for external suppliers, focusing on materials needed for manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement order processing procedures and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders while tracking supplier performance.
  • Take ownership of order processing for internal products and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain product details, acknowledgements, and receipt dates in the system.
  • Communicate order statuses to relevant teams and assist in quality reporting for vendors.
  • Troubleshoot raw material order issues with suppliers and coordinate with internal teams.
  • Identify deficiencies in order processing and support integration of new business software.
  • Engage in new process development and serve on the IDEAS team using Smartsheet.
  • Assist the Product Marketing Manager with product catalog updates, pricing, quotes, and marketing materials.
  • Analyze business data to forecast demand and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Participate in the company safety committee and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Material Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of related experience in order processing, customer service, purchasing, supply chain management, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary for this position. Familiarity with Teams, Squarespace, DDMS, CET / Configura, and other ERP / MRP software would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Any previous office furniture knowledge and/or experience would be a plus.
