Kentwood Office Furniture Introduces new Vice President of Sales and Marketing

GRAND RAPIDS, MI, November 4, 2010 – Kentwood Office Furniture announces that Laura Hopson has joined the company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in the Grand Rapids, Michigan office.  Hopson comes to Kentwood Office Furniture from Vanerum Stelter where she served as Vice President of Marketing.  Laura has extensive experience in developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies and directing account teams.  Her focus has been on brand development.  She has 20 years experience with various companies within the office furniture industry, including Steelcase and Herman Miller.  Laura Hopson said, “Kentwood Office Furniture is an exceptional organization, with a strong reputation and presence in the Michigan and Chicago markets.  Its dedicated employees have accomplished a great deal and kept the company growing and moving forward in a very challenging and competitive office furniture market.  There continues to be great opportunities to create value for our customers by providing products with great design, great environmental attributes and pricing and service that will bring a smile to each and every person. I look forward to working hard to leverage the positioning of the company and its great partners to drive continued growth and success.” Hopson received a BS in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a MBA in Marketing and Finance from Western Michigan University.  Hopson has served on and chaired several boards, including Inner City Christian Federation and Providence Home Mortgage, and continues to look to serve the community in many ways.
