Delivery and Installation Specialist

Kentwood Office Furniture is looking for some friendly faces to help us make our customers happy by delivering their custom created designs to their offices. We are seeking candidates that will professionally represent themselves and the company during delivery, set-up, and installation of their orders. A CDL Class “B” would be preferred, but not required. Candidates must have a Chauffeurs License.  It would be an advantage if you have some office furniture industry experience but it is not necessary to be successful at this job.

This position will work during the day with most days starting at 7:30 am. Overtime may be needed depending on our success with customers and their office locations. Candidates must have a good driving record and be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen. In order to be successful, candidates should possess a positive attitude, the ability to use hand tools and follow directions, and the ability to lift 50-75 lbs. Communication and reliability will be your key to success in this position.

As our Office Interior Designer in Chicago, daily you will work to achieve the following goals:

  • Customer Satisfaction – This will require great listening skills to hear, see and understand our customers’ wants, needs and constraints in order to use all the great resources at your disposal, including office furniture and interior solutions, to give them the most innovated, most functional and most cost effective solution for them.
  • Creativity – This will require you to understand the details of all the resources available to you through our wide array of vendor solutions. It will also require your ability to translate that knowledge and understanding into a solution that meets the customer’s needs for furnishings, space design and architectural elements.
  • Initiative – This will require you to be able to take responsibility of the design portion of the projects on your own and use your time efficiently. It will also require that you initiate collaboration with the project teams in a thoughtful and timely manner to meet customer deadlines. Prioritization of projects and time management will be a key to success in this position.
  • Team support – You will have access to our growing team of Designers and they will benefits from your skills as a new part of that team. As a Designer, you would be required to support other designers throughout the organization.
