Overview
This sales role will develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritizes growth and positive customer relationships. This role will grow sales through networking and relationship building between new and existing customers as well as third-party influencers. The BDM ensures customer satisfaction from proposal through project completion. Works closely with our interior design, sales support, installation team and partner vendors to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level industry research to develop new and existing customers.
- Manage the day-to-day relationships with new and existing customers.
- Prospect the local market for new furniture and architectural product opportunities through networking and cold calling.
Develop local business relationships with third-party influencers (commercial real estate companies, A&D firms, moving companies, etc.) to identify potential opportunities.
- Drive sales and profitability by leading the sales process including the development of creative and innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
- Involve key stakeholders in the development of a winning sales plan
- Collaborate with interior design team to provide solutions that meet customer’s functional, aesthetic and budget requirements.
- Provide complete and timely communication from proposal to execution to minimize cost, improve coordination and create an extraordinary customer experience.
- Partner with internal and external installation teams to complete project, exceed customer expectations and build referral base.
- Facilitate customer requests for pricing, specifications, information, and other service requirements. This can involve providing quotes, determining gross profits, negotiating pricing and terms, cost/benefit analysis, reviewing finishes and options.
- Exceed assigned sales quota and gross profit objectives. Utilize and continually update corporate CRM system. Provide timely and accurate sales forecast.
- Build and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending company and vendor sponsored education and product workshops as well as through independent study.

Overview
As a Manufacturing Coordinator at Kentwood Office Furniture, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations by processing orders for our plants and warehouse teams, including ordering raw materials for respective projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates order processing for manufacturing and warehouse teams, raw material ordering and customer service with all members of the KOF team – works toward common goals and cooperation between sales, finance, operations, and customer service.
- Processes orders and PO’s to KOF external suppliers with particular emphasis on materials and supplies needed for our internal manufacturing operations.
- Develops and implements effective order processing instructions, policies, and procedures. Helps develop performance metric system to correctly measure success of department.
- Assumes ownership of all order processing for internally manufactured or stocked products, product purchasing functions and takes whatever corrective actions are necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Updates computer system(s) to include full details of products ordered, acknowledgements received, and anticipated receipt dates.
- Works closely with Supply Chain Analyst on procurement initiatives.
- Keeps respective project coordinators and manufacturing team leaders fully informed regarding status of their orders – copies them to all relevant reports.
- Participates in the future integration of new business operating system software.
- Engage deeply with our new-process development initiatives and serve on the IDEAS team. Learn to use Smartsheet software to manage current processes as well as creating new ones as determined by the team.
- Assist Product Marketing Manager with any duties as needed and serve as back up to that position when needed.
- Calculate product quotes for EFA customer projects with Product Marketing Manager.
- Help review EFA email addresses to ensure quick responsiveness to all customer inquiries.
- Help update EFA website as needed – assist EKOS marketing representative when possible.
- Conduct data analysis through business operating system to identify trends and forecast demand.
- Serve as main contact for supplying finish samples and marketing materials to our sales teams, representative groups, or customers.
- Be a participating member of the company safety committee.
- Other duties as directed by management.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Material Management, Supply Chain, or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience in order processing, customer service, purchasing, supply chain management, or manufacturing preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary for this position. Familiarity with Teams, Squarespace, and ERP / MRP software would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Any previous office furniture knowledge and/or experience would be a plus.

- NCIDQ certification is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day relationships with new and existing customers.
- Prospect the local market for new furniture and architectural product opportunities.
- Develop local business relationships with third-party influencers (commercial real estate companies, A&D firms, moving companies, etc.) to identify potential opportunities.
- Drive sales and profitability by leading the sales process including the development of creative and innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
- Involve key stakeholders in the development of a winning sales plan
- Collaborate with interior design team to provide solutions that meet customer’s functional, aesthetic and budget requirements.
- Provide complete and timely communication from proposal to execution to minimize cost, improve coordination and create an extraordinary customer experience.
- Partner with internal and external installation teams to complete project, exceed customer expectations and build referral base.
- Facilitate customer requests for pricing, specifications, information, and other service requirements. This can involve providing quotes, determining gross profits, negotiating pricing and terms, cost/benefit analysis, reviewing finishes and options.
- Exceed assigned sales quota and gross profit objectives. Utilize and continually update corporate CRM system. Provide timely and accurate sales forecast.
- Build and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending company and vendor sponsored education and product workshop as well as through independent study.

- Bachelor’s degree or applicable job experience
- Two to three years of business-to-business sales experience

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Knowledge of office furniture industry or the built environment (preferred but not required)
- Proficient computer skills; experience utilizing CRM software a plus.
